Conquistador is a mix of single family homes (the estates section) and 3 story condominiums. The condominiums have access to their own pool areas as well as barbecue areas or the main club house pool. All of the condo buildings have elevators and there are 12 condo buildings in the community. Each building has it's own condo association and some will allow pets while others don't. The condo fees, as of March 2021, also vary from building to building and as of November 2019 fees are running from $475.00 to $520.00. Most condos are two bedrooms and two bathrooms with around 1,100 sq. ft. of living area. There are a few 1 bedroom and three bedroom condos as well. One of the unique advantages of Conquistador Condos is that each condo building has it's own hot water tank, so there is no additional charge for electricity or water to the individual condo owner.
Homes in the estate section of Conquistador range from modest 2 bedroom homes up to 4 bedroom ones, and a few have private pools. All have garages as well. Homeowners are responsible for their own landscaping so the HOA fees for them are only around $200.00 a month (as of March 2021).
The Conquistador complex also owns two acres of riverside land on the Saint Lucie River. An excellent retreat for those wishing to fish off the day-dock or just picnic by the River.
This is a very active senior community with an active clubhouse with fitness room, main ballroom, reading library and activities throughout the year. Conquistador is not just a seasonal residence as many owners enjoy the benefits of year round living in fabulous Martin County with all the amenities that this jewel of the Treasure Coast has to offer.
